Working to advance teaching and learning, school-wide? Not sure where to put the focus to make the biggest impact?

There’s two areas to consider:

  1. One can get gains – but they might be short-term and keep you busy
  2. The other can lower stress, boost impact and last.

To find out the two areas and which one to focus on, please consider this…

FOCUS #1: WHAT TO TEACH

This focus is important of course. But if you focus only on this area you’ll stay very busy.

That’s because the “what to teach” will change.

New curriculum come and go, new content areas will be mandated and important content will emerge.

I want to invite you to make this your second area of focus.

FOCUS #2: HOW TO MAKE LEARNING STICK, FOR EVERYONE

If you want to advance teaching and learning, school-wide, focus on embedding the right how.

When you embed the right now, this area of focus will help you get outcomes – long term.

With the right HOW in place, you’re focusing on an approach that doesn’t change, even when things do.

And once embedded, everyone across your school will have a shared approach and common understanding that won’t change – even when things do.

To advance teaching and learning, school-wide, focus on embedding the right how across your school.

The result? You’ll strengthen and embed high-quality teaching and learning across your entire school, so it will last for years to come.

Cheering you on!
