While I understand the connection to neuroscience and the tendency for digital notetaking to take a back seat, I still want to emphasize the use of concept mapping and other graphic organizers when applied as a strategy digitally, the organization schema does allow for deep learning. I also want to point out that digital note taking when coupled with the technique of revisiting the transcription a second time to reorganize and easily revise by moving text around has proven to be efficient. I have several research studies from my early doctoral years that support the use of digital graphic organizers.
